There are destinations where you spend a good time on a vacation and then forget all about them unless you hear them being mentioned in a conversation. And then there are those that remain constantly in your memory as you carry on with even your minor everyday chores. The beautiful destinations in India definitely fall in the latter category, and Udaipur is one such place for me.
Everytime I sit on my balcony for an evening-coffee, I am reminded of the cardamom-tea served to me during my palace-stay in the Taj Lake Palace. Every sunset I view reminds me of the sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola and how the water seemed to be flowing gold; shining, mesmerizing. What's the Perfect Itinerary to Experience Udaipur's Top Attractions in 48 Hours?

I went to Udaipur as part of my bespoke India tour and spent one-and-a-half days there. But I loved the serenity of this place so much that I came back to this city on my next unwinding getaway and spent a whole week here! 
So from both of these experiences I have come up with the perfect two-day itinerary for you to experience Udaipur’s Top attractions in 48 hours.

Day 1 : Take a direct flight to Udaipur from Delhi or Jaipur or you can request for a helicopter ride from your luxury tour operator. The journey from both the cities ranges from an hour to an-hour-and-a-half. Once in the city, settle in your palatial hotel like the Taj Lake Palace or the Oberoi Udaivilas followed by a leisurely lunch at Neel Kamal (Taj Lake Palace). Once comfortable, enjoy a curated tour of the City Palace followed by a sunset boat-ride on Lake Pichola. Enjoy a roof-top waterfront dinner at the Sheesh Mahal (The Leela Palace) and rest for the night.

Day 2 : Wake up to the soft chirruping of birds and distant sound of temple bells, and enjoy an in-suite or lakeside breakfast.
